Chrome Corundum Castable
Chrome corundum castable is castable refractory material which adopts Al2O3 and Cr2O3 as main raw material. Chrome corundum castable belongs to neutral refractory castable, during production, coarse aggregate, fines and powder material are mixed with given proportion, then certain quantity of binder and additive are added into the mixture. During construction, certain quantity of binder, coagulant and water are added into chrome corundum castable and fully mixed by stirring, then it can be used for casting. The ratio of coarse, middle and fine aggregate can be adjusted according to actual requirements. Pure calcium aluminate cement and phosphate (aluminum dihydrogen phosphate) are usually used as the binder of chrome corundum castable.
The main composition of chrome corundum castable: Al2O3 and Cr2O3, these two components can produce corundum solid solution phase at high temperature, which has high temperature resistance, washing and abrasion resistance. Therefore, the service life of chrome corundum is longer than corundum castable.

Chrome corundum castable characterize in abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, high refractoriness under load(1700℃) and so on. It is easy for construction, chrome corundum casted masonry has high compactness, and long service life.

Chrome Corundum Castable Application
It is widely used in kilns, furnaces and thermal equipment of metallurgy, petroleum industry, chemical industry, building material, machinery, etc. For example, carbon black reaction furnace, petrochemical furnace, heating furnace, garbage incineration furnace, nonferrous metal smelting furnace, iron runner and so on. Chrome corundum castable is easy for construction, it can be used for casting at workplace or used to make precast blocks, which is convenient for construction.
Oxidizing atmosphere melting furnace working lining refractory should better choose oxides series refractory. Cr2O3 in chrome corundum castable has very low solubility in molten slag, because Cr2O3 can increase the viscosity of molten slag, then the dissolution erosion rate of chrome corundum castable is reduced. So chrome corundum castable is important refractory material used for oxidizing atmosphere melting furnace working lining.
