Accretion resistant Castable Description
Accretion resistant castable is the common name of silicon carbide castable. SiC castable is mainly used in dry rotary cement kilns. Why silicon carbide castable is called accretion resistant castable is because it has good accretion resistance to cement raw material and clinker. Accretion resistant castable casted lining has very low adhesive ability to cement raw material, therefore, there won’t have severe accretion or ring formation in kiln hood and other parts, so the production can be smoothly carried out.
For accretion resistant silicon carbide production, SiC and Al2O3 are used as main raw material, pure calcium aluminate cement and ultra micro powder are used as binders, high efficient water reducing agent is used as additive. Silicon carbide is high grade synthesized refractory material, which has very low adhesive ability to cement raw material, therefore, SiC castable is ideal material for rotary cement kiln construction.

Accretion resistant SiC castable has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
Coating resistant silicon carbide castable has good high temperature mechanical strength, high thermal conduction coefficient.
SiC castable has small linear expansion coefficient and excellent thermal shock resistance.
Anti-accretion silicon carbide castable won’t react with cement raw material, avoiding coating formation.
Silicon carbide castable has good coating resistance, can significantly decrease coating times.

Coating Resistant Silicon Carbide Castable Applications
Accretion resistant castable aggregate is mainly composed of low bauxite aggregate, scrap ceramics, scrap electroceramics, SiC and so on. SiC castable are widely used in new type middle size and large size dry cement kilns where cement raw material agglomeration is severe, such as pre-heater feeding slope, ascending flue, decomposition furnace cone and so on. Usually, cement raw material is hard to adhere to the surface of SiC castable, so the chance of cement raw material agglomeration at kiln end is greatly decreased. The application of silicon carbide castable in cement kiln greatly increases the efficiency of cement production line, as well as cement output.
