What are the Types of Refractory Coating Materials?

   Refractory coating materials include: anti-oxidation coating materials, anti-radiation coating materials, acid-resistant coating materials, alkali-resistant coating materials, and thermal insulation coating materials.

The acid-resistant spreading material is made of acid powder and acid binder water glass or phosphoric acid. Using phosphoric acid as a binder requires high temperature baking to cure. Acid-resistant coatings also use resin as a binder. The relative cost of resin-bonding is very high. When the temperature is not high, resin-free coatings are not used. Acid-resistant coatings are used for chimneys, flues with acid gases, and acidic atmosphere erosion used for the surface coating of the lining.

The alkaline coating material is made of alkaline powder, calcium aluminate cement and water glass. It is mainly used for flue duct, smoke window and alkaline atmosphere lining surface with alkaline vapor deposition and alkaline corrosion. Used as a protective layer.

The anti-oxidation coating material is made of carbonaceous materials. This coating material has good spreadability and is wettable to the surface of carbon-containing products. The strength after drying is higher. And the coating does not crack and fall off. Mainly used for coating on carbon products. It can prevent the diffusion of oxygen in the air and play a role in preventing oxidation.

Insulation coating material is a light weight material. It is better to use silicon fluoride and phosphoric acid. It is mainly used for high-temperature furnace lining surface coating and hot-air pipeline insulation coating. It is also used for refractory fiber products lining surface coating to improve the internal The lining is resistant to airflow erosion or smoke corrosion. This spreading material is mainly used at temperatures below 700°C.

The anti-radiation coating material is mainly to prevent the heat radiation rate of the furnace wall, improve the heat utilization efficiency in the furnace, and also save energy. The working temperature of this kind of coating material can reach 800-1450 ℃, used in the inner liner of the electric heating furnace, the energy saving rate can reach 10%.
